Interviews

We are sharing our recent interview with a talented artist JuiCe LiVe.

Twist Online : First of all please introduce yourself to our readers.
JuiCe LiVe :
Peace and blessings. My name is JuiCe LiVe representing Brooklyn, NY. I am of Jamaican decent. I’m 27 but will probably forever look 16. I’m really just a living testimony that positivity and believing in yourself can change your life as well as others.

Twist Online : Who or what inspired you to get into music industry?
JuiCe LiVe :
Being heard inspired me honestly. I was the youngest child and grew up in a strict Jamaican home. So it was a lot of things I wasn’t allowed to do or say. Always feeling silenced started to make me angry, that’s when I just started writing. There are artist that helped shape me in music. Missy Elliot and Queen latifah were the first females I began to admire. After a while I began listening to artist like krs one and mob deep. I really love the old school story telling vibe I get from them.

Twist Online : Tell us about your recent release?
JuiCe LiVe :
I have a project in the works at the moment. This project will be called Finally. It’s really me just embracing my growth as an artist as well as an individual. I do have a lot of collaborations coming out with underground Brooklyn artist. But my individual project is something I’m sure excited about but I cannot rush it. There’s a real story I’m giving to the people with this one.

Twist Online : What kind of response you have received from the release?
JuiCe LiVe :
I’m not one to leak my music but I have been performing them live just to get a feel. The people love it so I’m really excited to release this. I’m giving a lot of emotions on this project, just so everyone can embrace the songs no matter what kind of music you like. Whether it be r&b, reggae or hip hop, I got it all.

Twist Online : What attracts you more, performing on stage or working in studios?
JuiCe LiVe :
I LOVE performing. I can’t even tell you what it is about the stage but I just transform! The stage is my way I engage wit the people. I love the studio, but the stage is my home. I feel so free up there.

Twist Online : Tell us about your upcoming shows.
JuiCe LiVe :
I was performing all summer at a local club in Brooklyn name the hq lounge. They had a showcase every week and I was there every week giving my all. It created a nice buzz for me, I also connected with a lot of dope artist. I recently did a cypher at Brooklyn radio station, tha reality check radio. I love chyphers, they help me stay grounded in real rap. I won’t be doing anymore shows only for a couple weeks just to devote myself to the finishing touches on the upcoming project.

Twist Online : Have you set some goals to achieve?
JuiCe LiVe :
My goals at the point are more personal. I feel once you improve who u are everyday as a person, everything else will unfold in front of you one way or another. But I know one goal I will be achieving is opening peoples eyes to who I am and my music.

Twist Online : Are you working on any new project?
JuiCe LiVe : my upcoming project titled Finally will be out soon. I will be getting back to dropping my random freestyles every week on my instagram. The people love it so I can never deny them that sauce.
