Upcoming rapper Jeremiah “Young Jay” McCoy’s music tells of his upcoming journey in southern California. Originally from San Bernardino CA, Young Jay has been through a lot. From being on NBC’s America’s Got Talent back in early 2014 to being able to collaborate with the likes of Tory Lanez, Jhené Aiko and more. He has performed in London and has even opened up for DJ Mustard’s artist “RJ”. Currently he’s working on his album “Lucked Up” which is set to release soon.

We are sharing our recent interview with the artist.

Twist Online : First of all tell us about the start of your professional career?
Young Jay : Well, I haven’t broke into the industry just yet but, I’m working towards impacting many lives

Twist Online : Who or what inspired you to get into music industry?
Young Jay : My family actually are music heads. I grew up around gospel influence. My uncle’s were drummers and my aunts and Grandma were singers.

Twist Online : Tell us about your upcoming release “Lucked Up” ?
Young Jay : My upcoming release”lucked up” is like a new beginning. It’s the start of my new wave. It’s my first explicit album so, it should be ill.

Twist Online : What kind of response you are expecting from the release?
Young Jay : I just want everyone who supports me to love it. They deserve good music and Im working my best to give it to them. It’s a nation of em out there.

Twist Online : What attracts you more, performing on stage or working in studios?
Young Jay : I love both. The process of creating something from scratch is amazing to me and I’ll always love the stage. They go hand and hand.

Twist Online : What’s your favorite music genre?
Young Jay : Hip hop by far.

Twist Online : Have you set some target to achieve as a music artist?
Young Jay : I want to get a bunch of awards and plaques and hang em up on my wall.

Twist Online : Are you currently working on any other project?
Young Jay : Just “lucked up” and some singles, videos and a documentary package for the supporters.
