An interview with music producer ‘The Outside’

We recently interviewed East Point, Ga based music producer”The Outside”. He has produced many tracks for local up-coming artist around the Metro Atlanta area. He has been involved in the music industry for about 6 years now. He is also an entrepreneur who is in the process of putting together a team for Dope Bass & Company LLCM, a consultant and management agency.

Twist Online : First of all tell us about the start of your professional career?
The Outside :  Well I was in college with my friend de Apollo and we would just discuss nothing but music related topics. So de Apollo one day we just started taking serious and the rest is history. To be honest I don’t feel professional at all, don’t get me wrong producing is my career but enough people in the world don’t know that, I’m still trying to break in the underground scene.

Twist Online : Who or what inspired you to get into music production?
The Outside : “Kool & The Gang – Summer Madness” that beat is everything. I’m inspired by all producers but if I had to choose 3 all time Kanye West, Timbaland , & Dr.Dre

Twist Online : Tell us about your recent releases?
The Outside : Well I collaborate with a group of collective called “Space Music” and we just dropped a lil tape like a month and some change ago. Def go check it out.

Twist Online: What kind of response you have received from the release?
The Outside:  Well it’s still a baby so we are waiting for it grow on people.

Twist Online: You have already worked with so many artists. Any particular artist you really enjoyed working with?
The Outside:  Umi she’s a female artist coming out of Atlanta but she’s dope he energy is amazing. We worked on her first project together “Ladies First”. Every artist I work with I choose to work with so majority of all the artist I’ve work with our energy has been great.

Twist Online: Tell us about your consultant and management agency Dope Bass & Company LLCM?
The Outside: I’M black and I wanted to own a label, so instead of having artist will just sign creatives who freelance their work and brand them. We also will have a great network pool of managers for the entertainment industry.

Twist Online: What’s the best part of being a music producer?
The Outside:  Starting a beat and seeing what happens to it after you get done making. I’m always excited when artist tell me they jump on one of my beats. One of the greatest feelings ever. Finish product

Twist Online: Are you currently working on any new project?
