DJ Louie Fresh Talks about his Passion for Music

DJ Louie Fresh is making a name for himself in Greenville, SC as one of the youngest DJ’s, originally from Florence, SC. Lately he has been working with the Migos artist “Skippa Da Flippa” and has managed to break his way into the independent music industry. He is currently working on his second nkxtaole titled “Welcome To Da South” which will be available on Spinrilla, DatPiff, and MyMixtapez January 31st. We are sharing our recent conversation with him.

Twist Online : Please introduce yourself to our readers.
DJ Louie Fresh : My name is James Israel, better known as DJ Louie Fresh, 22 years old. I’m from originally from Florence, South Carolina now I reside in Greenville, South Carolina where I attend Greenville Technical College.

Twist Online : Who or what inspired you to get into music industry?
DJ Louie Fresh : I was inspired by a colleague of mine by the name of DJ J Watts. I met him while on the marching band my freshman year at Wilson High School when he was a senior. What inspired me was witnessing him take the crowd to different levels with music and just watching the crowds reaction was memorable.

Twist Online : Tell us about your upcoming project “Welcome To Da South”?
DJ Louie Fresh : “Welcome To Da South” mixtape features various artist from down South and some independent artist to showcase their music that reflects the day to day life in the South. This mixtape show the different styles and vacjrkun

Twist Online : You are currently working with the Migos artist “Skippa Da Flippa”. How is your working experience with him?
DJ Louie Fresh : Working with Skippa Da Flippa is a great experience being that I’m young DJ and still learning a lot in the industry. He’s a funny person to be around that what makes the experience even better.

Twist Online : What do you enjoy more performing on stage or working in studios?
DJ Louie Fresh : I honestly I enjoy working in studios more, because I’m able to get into my comfort zone and recognize errors more efficiently that I would being on stage.

Twist Online : Are you influenced by any particular music genre?
DJ Louie Fresh : I’m not influenced by one particular music genre. I’m mostly influenced by Hip-Hop, R&B, and Rock.

Twist Online : Have you set some goals to achieve as a music artist?
DJ Louie Fresh : I haven’t set any particular goals because at the end of the day my main goal is to stay true to myself and to have fun while I have the opportunity.

Twist Online : What’s the best part being a DJ?
DJ Louie Fresh : The best part about being a DJ is making the crowd happy and knowing that I gave it my all at the end of the night.
