We are sharing our recent interview with Keith”Keefe” Rodgers.
Twist Online : First of all tell us about the start of your music career.
Keefe : Since I was young I always gravitated to music. And being from where I’m from the Hip Hop culture was like a second skin. Meaning that everything I did or those around me did was influenced by Hip Hop. At first I just did what came naturally.
Twist Online : Who or what inspired you to get into music industry?
Keefe : Initially the person that inspired me the most was Busta Rhymes and Xzibit. I played Busta until the tape popped of course I had Wu Tang on repeat. But in the beginning I was most inspired by the East Coast at that time.
Twist Online : What makes your style different from others?
Keefe : What makes my style unique is that the flow is organic. It’s got a bop to it and it plays off the cracks in the track. Which baits the audience in and allows for you to go on this melodic ride metaphorically speaking.
Twist Online : Tell us about your recent projects ?
Keefe : By me being in a lane of my own and creating such a unique style of music I’m constantly releasing projects. My most recent project is FEAR which is available on all major streaming platforms. And I have another project releasing later this month called Sunday Night Drive.
Twist Online : What kind of response you have received from the release?
Keefe : The response has been nothing but positive feedback. A lot of times it catch people off guard to hear something so organic and new. But at the same time it’s dope so I find that in music to be unique is rare and the fans need that. By me being a fan I understand that and I make it a priority to give the people just that.
Twist Online : What attracts you more, Working in studios or performing on stage?
Keefe : I love doing both equally. On one hand in the studio I get a chance to dig in the bag and create something new. On the other hand on the stage you get a chance to see people’s reaction and how they vibe to what you have made. Honestly I can’t pick one over the other because they both have equal importance to the Movement.
Twist Online : Have you set any goals to achieve?
Keefe : Yes world domination lol. My main goal is to get broaden my current audience and focus on getting my music heard more a broad.
Twist Online : Are you working on any new project?
Keefe : I’m always putting together fresh content but be on the look out for 2 more projects dropping this month. The first is Sunday Night Drive which has a smoother vibe to it. And A Lil Something Extra which has a grittier sound. Both will be on all major streaming platforms. This is going to be a epic year for us. And I plan on taking my fans on a ride of epic proportions throughout the journey. Mark my words. NBC!!!!
