Xavier Toscano talks about his Music & Life

Blog Interviews

Twist Online : Please introduce yourself to the readers and how and when did you first get into singing?
Xavier Toscano : Hello everyone! Thanks for taking the time, I really appreciate it. I recorded my first album  (which is now retired) in 2008 and have been at it ever since.
Twist Online : Who or what inspired you as an artist growing up?
Xavier Toscano : Top 40 radio. Anything “feel-good” with catchy hooks. It’s what inspired the title of my latest
album, Feels So Good.

Twist Online : Tell us about your recent release “Runaway”?
Xavier Toscano : “Runaway” is about letting your crush know that you got what it takes to make them happy. 😉

Twist Online : What was inspiration behind this song?
Xavier Toscano : Funny you ask, it was inspired by a short lived friendship where the other person was still hung-up on a previous relationship. It didn’t work out, but I got a song out of it, and in the end, that makes me MUCH happier. LOL!
Twist Online : You have performed across the Europe and US.It seems you love performing live?
Xavier Toscano : I LOVE IT!!! LOTS!!! It’s the most fun for me.

Twist Online : How much your dancing ability helps you winning the heart of your audience?
Xavier Toscano : You know, dancers can attest that taking dance classes really make you self-aware. You learn to use your body to provoke others. So it helps in that sense. It keeps things interesting visually.
Twist Online : Do you have some particular music genre that’s your favorite?
Xavier Toscano : Not necessarily. I find myself drawn to lots of music. I love simple pops songs the most. 😉
Twist Online : You are also an actor. What do you enjoy more acting or music?
Xavier Toscano : HANDS DOWN, MUSIC! But acting is fun, too. I guess I just don’t really like the prep-work.

Twist Online : Are you working on any new project?
Xavier Toscano : Yes, I am! I am working on a whole new EP and almost done with that. I hope it is out by fall 2017.

Have your say
