We got an opportunity to interview Staffan AKA Mojib, who has been working on a big compilation project “My Eye on You”. And also recently released remix ‘I’ve got a future’ .
Twist Online : Who or what inspired you to get into music industry?
Mojib : I moved out on the country side with one goal – Get a record deal and release my first album. Inspired by the return of vinyl which created an amazing 7” culture not seen before.
Twist Online : Tell us about your big compilation project titled My Eye On You?
Mojib : It’s all thanks to Pablo who ran the project. I got the opportunity to do sort of what I anted and I did. Taken a bitter harsh track and turn it beautiful.
Twist Online : You also recently released remix I’ve got a future? How was the experience working with other artists on that?
Mojib : I never met Gavin Clark, the singer, but I’ve lived with his music for so long that I had my personal perspective on what he was.
Twist Online : What kind of response you are have received from the release so far?
Mojib : Incredible. It’s been a long time since I released a remix and my old fans are still around to support me on Spotify
Twist Online : We came to know that proceeds from this goes to the late Gavin Clarks family?
Mojib : That’s simple. I’s a track for the people who was left behind when he passed.
Twist Online : What attracts you more performing on stage or working in studios?
Mojib : Studio is where I dream create and explore. DJ gigs are fun, but only because of the money.
Twist Online : What up next? Are you working on any new project?
Mojib : Second album is finally getting ready. Just got to sort a record deal I feel good about.
