A conversation with multi-talented David

We are sharing our recent interview with the multi-talented David.

Twist Online : First of all please introduce yourself to our readers.
David : Hello. My name is David, I am a singer, songwriter, and producer. I go by the name DAV!D&CLARA, which is me and my trusty laptop, Clara.

Twist Online : Who or what inspired you to get into music industry?
David : Gwen Stefani. It was November of 2004, and I flipped on MTV and saw her amazing video for her first solo single ‘What you waiting for?’, and I knew what
I wanted to do with my life. She inspired my desire to aspire to music. It was then British producer Richard X who inspired me to produce my own music.

Twist Online : Tell us about your recent project ?
David : My recent project is my/our new album ‘Body Work’. A collection of my own self written and created guilty pleasures I’ve been listening to for a couple years.

Twist Online : What kind of response you have received from your recent releases?
David : It’s been mostly positive, with my fan base eating it up.

Twist Online : What attracts you more, writing tracks, making music or singing?
David : All three play apart, sometimes I write lyrics without music, compose music without lyrics, or just hum something to myself that becomes a song.

Twist Online : Do you need some certain kind of environment for writing tracks?
David : To be honest, I’ve written songs in a wide variety of settings and circumstances. Mostly when I find myself taking care of my body, the music flows free.
Also I find when I give back to the world, I’m blessed with more music.

Twist Online : Have you set some goals to achieve?
David : Just one, to conquer the world with my music.

Twist Online : Are you working on any new project?
David : Working on projects, music video and art, for the current album. Of course I have written dozens of songs since releasing ‘Body Work’, I want to focus
on the material at hand. I’ve found my happy medium working and writing all at the same time
