Twist Online : Please introduce yourself to our readers.
Carl Waldemar : I’m a music loving country rocking dreamer from Sweden.
Twist Online : Who or what inspired you to get into music industry?
Carl Waldemar : I was a kid when I first heard the song ”Final countdown” by the Swedish band Europe. I knew right away that I had to dive deep into the world of music.
Twist Online : Tell us about your recent release “zero to sixty and a rise and shine, oh my”?
Carl Waldemar : The story is about a girl from the street who try to keep her head up in life . Even though odds are against her, she keeps going at it with a fire of confidence in her heart. The song is simply about never giving up and could apply to the most of us.
Twist Online : What kind of response it has received so far?
Carl Waldemar : It has a very special and odd melodic environment which make it stand out. I’ve heard that it takes a couple of listens to catch on but that it’s a very cool tune.
Twist Online : What do you enjoy more performing on stage or working in studios?
Carl Waldemar : Nothing makes me feel so alive as when I perform. The rush and the excitement when connecting with the audience is so intense. Therefore I will have to say performing on stage.
Twist Online : It seems you are enjoying more as solo rather than when you were with band?
Carl Waldemar : Is is definitely easier to work alone. I can make every decision by myself and rehearse when I want. I have been in bands before which was great but as Carl Waldemar I will be solo, and add an accompaniment band when needed. Think of Bruce Springsteen and The E street band.
Twist Online : Have you set some goals to achieve as a music artist?
Carl Waldemar : My goal is that every song I write, and every show I do, will excel the one before that. If I manage to do this, good things will follow.
Twist Online : Are you working on any new project?
Carl Waldemar : I am currently working on my 4-5 track EP to be released in April. I will also release a video to ”Zero…” in late January/ early February. I would love a 10-12 shows European tour in the fall.
Twist Online: Are you active on social media. What’s the best way to follow you online?
Carl Waldemar: I am pretty conservative when it comes to social media but I do keep my Facebook-page updated. I sometimes use Twitter and Instagram. So, in short I recommend Facebook if you’re interested in me and my music.
