A conversation with an aspiring female rapper Tequila

We are sharing our interview with female rapper Jessica Cox who goes by artist name Tequila

Twist Online : First of all please introduce yourself to our readers.
Tequila : My name is Jessica Cox. I am an aspiring Female Rapper and Singer born and raised in VA. Currently I am living in working in Charleston SC. I am also the CEO of an upcoming clothing boutique called Diamond Infatuation.

Twist Online : Who or what inspired you to get into music industry?
Tequila : Everyone in my family is pretty musically inclined, but I’ve had a lot of artists inspire me throughout the years. I had a lot of singing and music lessons growing up but my Talent really came from my mom Venus. Artists that are inspiring me right now are Renni Rucci, Rebecca Black and Pia Mia. A weird Mix but I like to be versatile in my music choices.

Twist Online : Tell us about your recent release “payday“?
Tequila : I had been working on Payday for a while but I was inspired by some friends to actually get in the studio and record. It is definitely inspired by me working in the adult entertainment industry but it is also just a fun track to get down and shake that booty too

Twist Online : What kind of response you have received from the release?
Tequila : So far I have had mixed reactions most everyone I know loves it! But booty shaking and Pole popping isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. The son has been doing great on all major music platforms with over 3000 streams just this year. My Dad hates it.

Twist Online : What’s your favorite music genre?
Tequila : I don’t have a favorite, Mixing genres is my favorite thing to do when writing music. People don’t expect that.

Twist Online : What’s the best part of being a music artist?
Tequila : The best part about being an artist is people getting to know who you are and appreciating something you’ve worked hard to create. Hearing someone know all the lyrics to my song is the best feeling.

Twist Online : Have you set some goals to achieve?
Tequila : Some goals I have for the near future are really working on pushing payday as hard as possible and getting my name out there. Taking my family on a trip to Disney world is also a huge goal of mine! I hope to have two albums dropped by the end of this year.

Twist Online : Are you working on any new project?
Tequila : I can’t talk to much about what I have coming up but I can tell you that my next single will be dropping within the next couple of weeks with a really cool feature I’ve been wanting to work with for the longest time! So stay tuned for that!
