Conversation with Vessbroz about their recent album “Lost”

We are sharing our recent interview with Vessbroz. They have recently released a new Album titled “Lost”. So our focus will on this release.

Twist Online: First of all tell us about the start of your professional career?
Vessbroz : We always wanted to be a performance artist since we were a kid, I and my brother Armia made our first song when he was 10 and I was 8 years old, but since then we never actually had a chance to put this together and make this as a professional career. until 4 years back, by listening many EDM artists, we fell in love with EDM sound and of course, we loved pop music since we were kids, so that is why we started to learn how to produce music and as the same time we learned how to DJ.

Twist Online: Who or what inspired you to get into the music industry?
Vessbroz : Music always is our inspiration. by listening to others music, we always get our idea and we learn something new, Our inspiration artists are Daft Punk and The Chainsmokers.

Twist Online: Tell us about your recently released debut album The “Lost”?
Vessbroz : We have always wanted to make our first album, especially, since we have already released 10 singles, so when Aaron Lim, Producer of Malaysian English Movie “C144” invited us to make his movie soundtrack, we thought why not we make an album. We felt that this is the best time to work on an album because firstly, we already have around 11 beats which are almost ready and secondly, our kind of music is very close to what Aaron Lim wanted us to do for his movie. We shared the idea with him and he loved the idea also, so that is how we decided to make “LOST”.

We wanted our first album to be very special so we decided to get artists from all around the world to show the peace and unity of human beings.

So, we got Kyle Davis from the USA a talented young singer with amazing skills to write lyrics. Black Gs from Nigeria (to represent Africa) with his powerful and uplifting voice. We also have Dylan Thomas from Netherlands (to represent Europe), Mehrdad Mozart from Iran (to represent the Middle East), and Britney Nieves and Arastella from USA (together with Kyle to represent North America).

We are currently based in Malaysia so we decided to find 3 good Malaysian singers (to represent Asia). Our Manager, Suresh, through his good friend, Shamini, were introduced to Zainal Abidin, the Malaysian legendary singer. Once we heard his unique voice, we decided to give him one of our best songs titled ”Fleeting”.

Through another good friend, Sam Kassim, we managed to listen to Farahdhiya’s voice. Her beautiful voice was perfect for another one of our songs.

And finally, we got Nadeera, a young and talented singer with really powerful voice. We truly love the song that we made with her.

Twist Online: It must be a tough ask gathering so many international artists for this album?
Vessbroz : Yes, we always try to deliver our message through our music, I guess that is what music all about ? … Nowadays, we as Human Beings are LOST!!!

We as human beings have lost our direction, there is too much war, fighting, lies, and all the other negative things. But, we may not notice that we are LOST. So, our target is to deliver this message with our music. and to do so we decided to gather artists from all around the world under one Album to show that we all are united and same as human being. it was really tough because different timelines, different cultures, different languages, but finally we made it and we are very happy with the result, I guess it really worth it 🙂

Twist Online: Any particular track(s) from the album that’s your favorite and your really enjoyed working on that?
Vessbroz : We love all of our songs and we really enjoyed to make every single of them, but “Nothing”, was actually the first song that we made for this album, and it is our First US Billboard Charts song as well. When Kyle sent us the message on Facebook for the first time, and we heard his voice, Armia and I both believed he has really bright future, he is not only a good singer but also a great song writer. ”Nothing” right now stands at # 34 on the US Billboard Charts and we hope it moves to the Top 10 soon 🙂

Twist Online: What kind of response you have received from the release?
Vessbroz : We have received many responses, mainly positive, many artists told us they love what we do and they love to work with us on our upcoming projects, for that we really feel we are blessed.
We heard many of our fans connected with our music, they received our message, and they loved it, the funny thing is every person has different taste, and we got so many different comments ideas for every song.

Twist Online: What attracts you more, performing on stage or working in studios?
Vessbroz : Both are actually fun in a different way, Performing on stage is always fun, especially when many people gather all together to party, the energy is incredible, and that energy from the crowd is transferring to us and it makes us be on very good mood each time that we perform.
On the other hand, creating music is also so much fun, We always want to make people happy, inspire them and bring them together. If we can make only one person who listens to our music to smile, we got what we want from making music!

Twist Online: Have you set some target to achieve as a music artist?
Vessbroz : Oh yeah, we set target since day one, and we hit them one by one, we have short term and long term targets and I believe. I and my brother together could achieve anything and there is no impossible or limit for us 🙂

Twist Online: Are you currently working on any other project?
Vessbroz :  We are planning to release a new EP album, again with artists from various parts of the world. We are going to have a song featuring David Shane from the US, he is a great young singer. We are also going to have a song with KPOP band in this EP.
